My 10 things before CONAL

Dear readers, fellows. In the past days, I have been interacting a lot with the MC (I think they are already getting tired of me) and also I have been in touch with my AIESEC network - people I have worked with, people who have played similar roles I have, plus those who have chaired CONAL at any given point - it has been just amazing to get some insights.

It took a huge amount of work/thinking, but now I feel sharing with you "my 10 things list" (10 to dos before CONAL):

1. Do read the AIESEC in Brazil's Compendium;

2. Do interact as much as possible with both OC and MC before CONAL;

3. Do feedback and build on OC+MC PreMeeting agenda;

4. Do get enough well-slept-nights (thanks, Delvia!);

5. Do remember you are not the Santa Claus (thanks both Romildo and Anonimo!);

6. Do research on nice AIESEC songs and roll calls to share with the delegates and the conference team!

7. Do work on my sessions' outlines (I am in charge of morning and evening plenaries and the elections block);

8. Do take advantage of web 2.0 features to communicate with everyone who feels like;

9. Do exercise/work out as much as possible and do eat lots of healthy food + drink at least 3 liters of water per day;

10. Do see some of the following movies: "Scent of a Perfume", "Remember the Titans", "Pay it Forward", "Gandhi", "Dead Poets Society", "Any given sunday", "Forrest Gump", "Malcolm X", "The Inconvenient Truth", "Waking life", "The Pursuit of Happiness", "The Seven Samurai", "Brave Heart", "Shawshank Redemption", and "Invictus".

P.S. I have just heard from Romildo (MC) that AIESEC in Brazil is about to reach 600 exchanges. 12 exchanges to get there. It is time to put a lot of energy so we can celebrate these amazing results at CONAL. Way to go!

  1. Hey Chair!!

    I hope we have an amazing CONAL!! I'm really curios to know who you are... This will be my first CONAL, I have only been to CONADE is this year. I'm very anxious about it because I'm the VPMKT 2010 in @Brasília, so it means that this will be a chance to increase my network and also learning more then ever.

    See you at CONAL! :]

  2. Hi Michelle, I am also very excited to meet AIESEC in Brazil delegates. I can imagine how tough that is for you be the incoming VPMKT in Brasilia - tons of work is right there waiting for you. Make sure you make 2010 the best year of your life. AIESEC is about ambition and dream. Make sure you do both. I am positive you will. See you in six days and do not be shy: approach me whenever you see me and tell me: Hey, I am Michelle, the one who wrote on your blog! Any ideas for me? Best, The Chair.

  3. A side note. "Invictus" is not yet released. It should be released on Jan 29th in Brazil. It is about Mandela and the Apartheid. The teaser trailer is just amazing. It is available on the YouTube. I encourage you to check it out.

If so, could you direct it to chair.aiesecbazi@gmail.com - it will be great to get you insights and please introduce yourself on the video, your past and current positions, say hi to some special friends you left back.
