Day 0

Hi guys, I am late, I know. Yesterday was a tough and intense day even though it was premeeting we had quite a number of delegates here. Millovisk and Rodrigo invited me to share some time with both LCPs incoming and outgoing. It was quite cool to get to know some of them and I can even remember some of their names already.

For the LCPs outgoing, we shared some perspectives about our LCPs year and for the incoming one I handle a "get to know each other" session. It was quite amazing!! For both of them we even met up in late evening for the elections' process explanation.

The party was quite enjoyable too but I left it quite early 'cause I needed to support the OC in storaging quite many drinks we got from our CONAL supporter: AMBEV. By the way, my huge congratulations and thank you for everyone who helped us in setting up everything. We had conference team members and even delegates helping a lot and missing the party time!

My best!
The Chair.
P.S. Ah, Felipe woke me up in the middle of the night asking for medication. :-) Felipe, wish you fast recovery!

Day -1

It is 25 past 11 pm, yeap, 23:25 and in about 10 hours we kick off the LCPs, ICX and NST Premeeting.

You may imagine how excited I am. Everywhere I look I see OC and Facis interacting a lot, helping each other, forgetting about positions and roles and focusing on what needs to be done. It has been very special for me to work with them, so I definitely take this time and thank all of you, the conference team, for amazing days so far! Way to go!

A bit of our day today: tons of work for both OC and Facis. They have tried to set up as many things as possible and believe me, it is incredible how much they have achieved in the past 24 hours. So congratulations to all of you and a full night of work to finish off everything needed. :-)

Our conference dry run was quite precise in defining logistical needs/requirements so I am positive we are pretty much done to start off this wednesday. Obviously we have not forgotten of enjoying ourselves and our company, so taking advantage of Pablito's bday today, we have offered him a cake. He felt quite happy I guess and it was nice to get some nice sweets!

CONAL is at our corner. Tomorrow I will share a bit of our Premeeting with the dudes who have arrived earlier and think of taking part of the elections' process as I mentioned before!

Good night. See you tomorrow!

Your Chair.

P.S. Willing to know more about CONAL and our web 2.0. strategy, look at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvWiH4qq0Kg&feature=player_embedded

MCP Elections: do you want to take part in it?

Dear member around the globe, conference team, AI folks, AIESEC partners, supporters and alumni!
It is a very important announcement.

On Day 4, which means, next saturday, the chair of the conference should run a talk show with the MCP candidates (candidates for President of AIESEC in Brazil).

Do you want to take part in the agenda? Do you have a powerful question to be asked to the MCP candidates? If so, do read the following instructions:

- Record a 30'' (thirty seconds video) introducing yourself (your name, present and/or past positions in AIESEC, current job) and send your question in both english and portuguese to chair.aiesecbazi@gmail.com

- The questions should less internally focused (AIESEC process oriented) and more externally oriented! Think of global issues, the role of leadership nowadays, environment, sustainability, governance, accountability, public and private policies, foreign investments and so on and so forth!

- The top 5 questions will be shown at the talk show and will be responded by the MCP candidates.

- If you cannot record a video, send the question in written format in both english and portuguese. It should work fine.

Join the fleet for the ultimate journey. And if you have any questions, forward them to me!

Good morning and looking forward to your participation, the Chair.

Day -2

Dear readers,

Sorry for not have been able to write you yesterday (Day -2).

Yesterday the facis arrived at the site. After having had a conversation with the MC, all the conference team got together at noon to share our expectations and ambitions for the conference. Some of them are: cooperation among OC and Facis, be solutions-oriented, be energetic, ask for constant feedback, be flexible and enjoy the best conference ever. A full afternoon of work for the conference team ended up in an amazing movie session. The day was quite productive but we still have many tasks to deliver during premeeting.

Ah, obviously the facis had quite some expectations towards the chair. I will share them with you:

- Help to energize the conference team;
- Functional help in the sessions;
- Be a communication hub between conference team and delegates;
- Be a connection between different strengths among the team - having the best people doing the right things;
- Keep calling people by name;
- Help the team to calm down (when needed);
- Support connecting the team with the AIESEC in Brazil network;
- Lots of storytelling! :)
- Sharing about AIESEC 2010!
- Do as much as possible "out of the box" type of things;
- Bring in your AIESEC experience and perspective;
- Sharing about your post AIESEC life;
- Be serene!
- Take part and give inputs to sessions;
- Make sure agenda runs on time!
- Be stakeholder-focused;
- Help EBs incoming to feel and embrace the AIESEC in Brazil network;
- Support the engagement of members through out the conference.

And what about you? What are your expectations towards the chair?

That's all Folks. Carpe Diem. Cease the day!

Good Morning and more about Day - 1 later today and over twitter!

Day -3

The OC is in the house. The chair is in the house. We all find ourselves at Atibaia Park Hotel.

Today we had a very intense day. Check it out:

1. OC + Chair team building by the pool (what best describes you? some wonderful & very creative ways of getting to know people's feelings; what's your uniqueness? it's cool to see we have a very diverse and full of potential team);

2. Site tour - to get to know where the sessions will take place and potential plans b and c! The site is just amazing. And hopefully we will take advantage of the nature around us as much as possible.

3. OC + Chair to dos - we have defined our wins and must dos for CONAL. Trust me, we have quite some tasks to be delivered.

4. A full afternoon of OC + Chair work - a lot was delivered and checked by all of at our stand up meeting we had at 7ish pm.

The meals were awesome and the OC + Chair seems to team up quite well. Lots of laughs, expectations and the aim to build the best conference ever between us.

Will make sure I post my to dos so you know what I am in charge of.

We are quite looking forward to welcoming the MC folks tomorrow morning. It is raining cats and dogs. Oh my God.

Good night and enjoy your weekend!

The Chair is in the MC House!

Yesterday I got that information from Lari (Conference Manager) that we would leave São Paulo tomorrow (saturday) at 6:30 AM. Therefore I decided to join the MC crew and stay on this night. It was amazing to re-visit the house.

I was lucky enough to say hello to Anna, Vero, Giulia, Bona, Titi, 3 e meia Beca, Pablito, Thais and Laissa (from the MC team), Gabryel and Mari (MC manager), Mauricio, Lucas, Lais and Bruna (from the OC team). I guess I saw some others, but it is quite challenging to remember everybody's faces and names. As you guys know, the chair is an oldie.

Now I find myself in the "egg" room. The "yellow" board room. I encourage you to come by and help us to re-paint it. The chair would much appreciate your pro-activeness and I guess the MC too.

Tomorrow, from the site, I will share my "to do" list for CONAL. After all, you will see for yourself that the chair has quite some tasks to deliver. Now it is time to socialize a bit and get to know the guys in person.

Good night.

Cheers, the Chair.

P.S. Hey, today I realized: I am mad. The conference starts off on wednesday and not on tuesday as I have been promoting. Again, the chair is an oldie. :-P

What's for CONAL?

I am excited. And indeed busy with my current work. I have been trying to combine both CONAL & my current job and it seems impossible. It is almost like it used to be back in AIESEC (combine both university and AIESEC was the everyday task).

I am on the way to CONAL. In my suitcase: expectations, dreams, ambition, curiosity, lots of surprise. Hope all goes well.

My next post will be from the site.

Best and see you on tuesday!
